Greetings, comrades around the world:
The United Socialist Party of Venezuela condemns the escalating belligerence of the United States in the Caribbean and calls upon parties and movements worldwide to join in an international mobilization of public opinion to counter the massive psychological warfare operation implicit in the so-called "Operation Southern Spear," which seeks to unleash violence and sow conflict in the region.
We alert the free peoples of the world: this is not an isolated maneuver. The United States intends to turn Venezuela into the gateway for its new strategy of domination, openly and blatantly colonialist. It is trying to force a war today in a zone of peace, to extend it tomorrow against any country that opposes its interests.
What does it intend? To plague Latin America and the Caribbean with death, destruction, and hatred? To extend to Our America the dehumanizing practices that brutally exterminate families and children in the Gaza Strip? To normalize the unjustified bombings with which it carries out targeted assassinations on the coasts of Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, and Trinidad and Tobago? Does it aspire for the countries of the Global South to pay the price for its economic, political, and moral crisis through plunder and violence? Does it truly believe we are its backyard?
From Venezuela, we reiterate our unwavering right to peace and demand respect for our sovereignty. We call upon our peers, our friends, and all international solidarity to mobilize in a creative and bold manner.
We must march together against the new colonialism—fascist and supremacist—that has unleashed its deadly fury upon the world.
In Venezuela, we are ready for this great victory for humanity.
