Humanism. 3 Our humanism. Our humanist group
Just as in the 20th century the great enemy of humanity was fascism (advocating a strong leader: Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, a hypernationalism opposed to those who were different and slated for extermination: the superior Aryan race against the Jews. More than 2 million deaths), currently, in the 21st century, the great dangers to humanity are the pursuit of maximum profit, even at the cost of impoverishing the majority of people. Wealth is concentrated in the hands of a minority of millionaires, while the majority of people are impoverished and the land, water, and other vital resources necessary for production are exploited. This includes the resurgence of fascism from the last century (the most extreme case being ultranationalism). Israel, in its pursuit of growth, does not hesitate to perpetrate genocide, destruction, and occupation of the people, cities, and lands of Palestine: more than 80,000 dead, many of them children, women, doctors, targeted bombings of hospitals and schools, and sniper fire...
All of us who are against the cruel and exterminatory actions of capitalism and fascism and who stand for people (every single person, whose life, health, and well-being are worth more than all the money in the world, more than all the flags in the world, more than all the leaders in the world) are humanists.
We value truth and life and are against all falsehoods, lies, crimes, aggression, and violence.
A group of people who fit this definition of humanism and who are interested in communicating via email have organized a group: the Humanists-Humanists-Humanists group of Io. It was born with a universal vocation, but for now it's a fairly small group, 48 members, of whom 45 are from Mallorca, one is Catalan, and two are Spanish speakers.
If you consider yourself more of a humanist than a fascist, more in favor of life, respect, and the dignity of all people than in favor of the free market, which benefits a few but harms the majority and the Earth's resources; and more in favor of fascism, which doesn't hesitate to kill or harm those who are different in order to favor those who are the same and which has imperialist ambitions, and you're interested in communicating with other humanists, you can join our group by writing an email (no subject line or body text needed) to:
